I thought it would be interesting to keep track on what is on christians minds these days pertaining to revival. As the scriptures say: "As a man thinks so is he" Proverbs 23:7 The #1 topic yesterday was: "..Women in ministry:..All of Isaiah 61.....Your thoughts?.." This has a whopping 2302 views so far and 43 posts. Sounds like this is a MAJOR irritant with most men. Are we on the right track? Hmmm...You be the judge.

God does raise up women to be used of God; but women as the Word of God teaches, should not, rule over a man in ministry. That does not limit God in any way to use women to minister to others and teach the younger women and be a blessing to them. We should do what the scriptures say. The Proverbs 31 woman needs to take her place and walk in it.

The Proverbs 31 woman needs to take her place and walk in it. Amen Margie, I attend an Assemblies of God church. My husband and I first started attending this church when we were dating 18 years ago. We left for awhile because of the carnality in the church and now with this new pastor it's starting all over again. I have heard of principalities ruling over areas or churches and I have to wonder about this church. Before the first pastor fell my husband saw an ape on top of the building pounding his chest. Anyway, I started a Facebook account. Alot of my friends are my church members and some of them in leadership are on Facebook too and they are posting things that they as christians should not be posting without going into detail. I have to wonder if we should worry so much with what the carnal church is doing sometimes. I think it's a good idea to speak to leadership if you feel led and than if they will be ignorant let them be ignorant, give it to the Lord and pray for them. My husband and I have spoken to the pastor about halloween so far and the fact that they put Buddah statues on the missionaries tables. You would hope that they would see the light after that , have nothing to do with halloween, throw away the buddah statues and ask the church for forgiveness. Not so. Since we have spoken to them they have posted MORE pictures, pictures of Halloween, a picture of the pastors wife in front of a Buddah statue praying---she left a remark saying "just goofing around". Since then they have posted provocative flair and on and on it goes. The more we say the worse they behave like an "in your face!" kind of thing. I think it's a good thing to speak to the pastor like we did but these people for the most part are not ignorant of the word. They do what they want so I think it's best to just leave it alone sometimes as the word says "if a man be ignorant let him be ignorant"(1 Cor.14:38). Were not sure how long well stay here. My husband doesn't get pushed around easily.

Hmmm...I think women in leadership roles is sensitive to some because it seems to lower women if they aren't allowed to lead. However, it's not lowering women at all, just like being submissive to their husbands. Men in leadership desperately need the support and encouragement of the women. Their role is extremely vital to a good family and good ministry. You're right on Margie, and it is wonderful to see a godly woman who joyfully fulfills her role.
I think, sadly, that there are a lot of believers in a similar situation when it comes to church. To some degree, there are problems in most churches. It's very saddening to hear about your pastor. It reminds me of Matthew 7: 15-23. I'm glad to hear that you and your husband are willing to take a stand for what's right.

Amen, it seems as though it is just as important for women to support their husbands (or the men in the church) as it is for men to lead and not women. This is probably why it is such a sore subject.
