I hate to go against the flow, but what these people say is such a broken record, using the ten commandments. It seems so self-righteous when we all break the ten commandments from time to time. None of us are without sin, we all fall short of the glory of God. Even the people who are talking down to people shoving the ten commandments in people's faces are probably breaking a commandment that very moment. This type of witnessing is so mechanical and so unanointed. Isn't it far better to preach the Word of God as the Spirit of God moves upon us, that it would bring life to the hearer and not this legalistic system of witnessing, telling people they're a murderer and a liar etc. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Paul didn't preach this way. Think how the people who have to listen to this Pharisaical system of witnessing and how they must feel. When Jesus spoke to Nicodemas, he didn't shove the 10 commandments down his throat. He told him how he can be born again of the Spirit in John 3. On one video I saw Cameron sharing the ten commandments and asking these poor people these questions about braking each commandment; and there was this man who kept wanting to ask Cameron a question and Cameron kept telling the man to let him finish (his drill) and told this poor man wait a minute. Well, when Cameron was finished the man he was drilling never gave his heart to Jesus and the man with the question never got his question answered. It was disgusting. It's so mechanical and not loving. Who do we think we are talking down to anyone. We need to repent ourselves of our own sin. We need to share the love of Jesus in a compassionate way and not the "Way of the Master".

Margie, I was wondering if you have read the book by the same title " The Way of The Master" ( formerly : Revivals Golden Key ) ? I would recommend it.
Blessings; Alan

Hi Alan: Haven't read the book "Way of the Master". To be honest, I only read the Word of God and posts on sites. It's the method of witnessing by Way of the Master that doesn't appeal to me. It's too repetitive and obnoxious. It and forgive me for saying so, sounds like a traveling salesman with his spiel. It's also legalistic and unloving toward the sinner when if it wasn't by the grace of God we would be there also. We have no right to look down at a sinner who doesn't know Jesus; throwing the laws of God at them. Preaching what Jesus, Paul, Peter did to the lost would be used by God in a greater way. That pricked their hearts through the Holy Ghost. We do need to preach and teach the Word of God right from the bible. But with compassion for the lost and not rattling off a formula of laws to them. Please forgive me, but I don't have the stomach for "Way of the Master". Even the title tells us something.

John, the trip to Ukraine was blessed. We had a wonderful time. Passed out about 6,000 tracts. We did a vbs for kids during the week that I got to do the lesson for each day. On the last day the majority of the kids responded to the call to repentance. I was also able to do some open air in the market which was very exciting. I spoke through a translator and we had a god little crowd for about 45 minutes with lots of people asking questions. I am hoping to go back this fall for a little while, but we will see. Hopefully I will return next summer, too.
Blessings,
Miles

Have you ever listened to Ray give the message Hell's Best Kept Secret or True and False Conversions? I am also curious as to what you think is so telling about the title, "Way of the Master". Jesus is the Master and we are supposed to imitate Him, i.e. - do things His "way". I am not a "comfort clone" or Ray's apologist (I used to be) but I can say with some confidence that I didn't even understand the Gospel until I heard his presentation that he has repetitively said millions of times. My jaw literally dropped when I finally understood the simplicity of the Gospel and God used Ray Comfort and his simple "method" for lack of a better word. I have put into practice myself the same simple presentation with thousands and have been amazed many more times than I could ever count, the Holy Spirit conviction that just falls on people and opens their heart to the Gospel. It even happened to me.

Hello Miles: Yes, brother, I've heard Ray Comfort speak many times, and he's good at what he does. I guess you might say it's the methodology he uses with much repetition that does not appeal to me. He has many good points and he's scriptural, it's the method. I'm aware of Matthew 23 where Jesus uses the word Master in Matthew 23:7-11 while speaking to the Pharisees. And Galatians 3:24 how the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. As far as the title WOM uses, it turned me off because of their indoctrination program, that seemed like brainwash; even though I know what Jesus said how we have one Master that is Christ. When Jesus preached the sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapters 5, 6 & 7; he gave the beatitudes, the prayer Our Father and other instructive things such as the narrow way that leads to life; and many other things. He had compassion on the multitude. He did not preach the law in this sermon. Miles, if God is using you in the WOM in your life and their method while sharing the gospel then praise God. Whatever works for you in reaching the lost. In your sharing. You must be doing it with a heart of compassion for them, if you are bearing good fruit in your efforts.
