I just read this from the Sermonindex message board:
"I know a brother who went down to help the Katrina victims and stayed for 2 years. He said when they were first driving through the hurricane ravaged areas they were all amazed at the "wrath" of God. But after two years and seeing all the amazing fruit that resulted (dozens of baptisms, numerous conversions, coutltess personal revivals, division being torn down, etc.) as result of people being shaken awake from the disaster, this brother related that if another hurricane hit and he was to drive through the destructed area his views would be quit different "look at the love and mercy and grace of God to shake these sleeping people awake" would be his thoughts now."
God's judgments are truly mercies.
