Yesterday Greg, Dave and I were in Value Village and were on our way out when for no apparent reason I stopped in my tracks, turned around, turned a right corner, and my eyes immediately upon Winston Churchill - "The Gathering Storm", a book that I have been looking for for a long time now! I exclaimed "oh!" out loud and grabbed it... then I noticed the entire set was next to it, all six books, and for incredibly cheap!... and I think it is the 1948 edition! What a blessing from the Lord!
Why I wanted The Gathering Storm was because this is the theme of the book, I quote:
"How the English-speaking peoples through their unwisdom, carelessness, and good nature allowed the wicked to rearm."
Wow, doesn't that reflect upon the Church today?

Great books! Check out the last paragraph of 'The Gathering Storm' on page 667 on preparing all your life for a crucial situation.
Also check out Sep 15, 1940 in 'Their Finest Hour', pp 332-337. This is the climactic air battle on the day after Rees Howells's prayer meeting.
Also look at pp. 606-608 in 'The Grand Alliance' for a celebration of assured final victory in the midst of terrible circumstances.
You just need two months of spare time for the six volumes.

;D Michelle: You must have quite a library. If I lived closer, those books would be neat to see. Sounds rich.
