Hello,

I have a large staph infection on my elbow. I had staph about 3 months ago and I went to the doctor. I took antibiotics for a few months and it all went away. Earlier this week my elbow started to swell up and get infected. When I went to the Dr. before he gave me 3 refills in case I needed it later, so I've still got some antibotics to take.

A few weeks ago there was at least one, possibly three, students where I work that had the MRSA staph. Hopefully it won't turn out to be anything like that.

Also, a few weeks ago a pastor I know had an MRSA infection on his knee. He ended up having surgery on it. I don't foresee anything like that happening though.

If it doesn't start getting better by Monday I'll be going to the Dr. again.

Praying! I hear it is treatable with antibiotics even if it comes back again. Try to eat well to build up your immunity. Antibacterial soap works well and you have to keep it really clean.I have you on my prayer list and I will be interceding for you brother.

I've got an update.

I would say about 99% of the swelling is gone. Yesterday the swelling was half way up my forearm and was beginning to go toward my bicep. It was about to get where I couldn't bend my elbow normally.

I woke up this morning and said, "Wow." As I mentioned before I've had staph infection before but I've never had one heal this quick.

Praise the Lord! No one likes to see infection spreading up and down your arm, but now it's practiclly all gone. It's too bad I don't have before and after photos, it really does seem that drastic- at least it does to me.
