Occasionally, we as preachers are given a hard time by police officers who try and stop us unlawfully by ignoring the First Amendment (free speech here in the U.S.). So far, we have complied peacefully with the police despite what the constitution says, but in doing so many people do not hear the Gospel.
What do you think? When is the time to tell the police, "No, we must obey God rather than men?" I understand that wisdom is necessary, but where do you draw the line? I'm interested to hear your thoughts.

Without putting much thought in it, I would say the moment they completely restrict you from furthering the Gospel in any way, do it anyways. If you can further the Kingdom Of God while complying, do it.

As both a strong believer in both the commands of God and that of the law, my advice would be to find out why the police are telling you to leave. If their answer is unjust and unconstitutional, I would continue to preach the Word of God.
Although compliance with the law is important, I believe that compliance with Christ is much more important.

Consider Acts 4: about Peter as he spoke boldly and what the council said to him in verse 18-21 God was so much with Peter speaking that to the council. This is just another way to look at it. The council commanded Peter not to speak at all or teach in the name of Jesus. Verse 19 is the clincher. The Word of God is relevant today and in every example we need. Every circumstance is different, so you have to be led of the Holy Spirit as to what you should do.
