An interesting documentary, it presents a very neutral stance that encourages the viewer to to take evidence from both sides and draw their own conclusions. Sorry, was that sarcasm a bit on the heavy side? This documentary should have been called "God Delusion: The Movie" because unfortunatly Richard Dawkins makes the exact same flawed arguments. I found it rather amusing that he compared Ted Haggards service to a Nuremburg rally, when this video could just as easily be compared to Goebles Propaganda video (They are coming!*cue scene with hundreds of rats* Religion!) Most of his reasoning I have already talked about in your previous post so I don't think I need to reitterate it all. I have to say it was very well edited. Lot's of crazy fundamentalists rants, and then the level headed athiest group, who are beacons of light in an opresive darkness. As I have said before, this is not a battle between Religion and Science, it is a political one. Richard Dawkins, as I have said before, is a smart scientist, unfortunatly, he is not a smart philosopher, he is actually quite a poor philosopher. Any person with critical thinking skills can see right through his arguments on the issue of Religion and Science because they are so laced with falacies. He should stick to the study of science becasue that is what he is good at. I am not suggesting that he should remain ignorant regarding the issues around him, but to popularise himself like that only creates an air ignorance to him. I do not often make any responses to the issue of evolution because I am not a biologist. I try to keep apprised on the latest issues and research, but I don't pretend to know near enough to bring about any critical points. Richard Dawkins needs to follow suite and stick to what he knows.
