Be very careful of those who look for signs rather than Holiness.
Take for example the story of the raising of Lazarus:
People can come to Christ by witnessing genuine miracles:
John 11:45 "Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him."
Yes, signs are real and yes we must believe in the Power of God, but this is no guarantee that the lost will come to Him because of miracles:
John 11:46; 53 "But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done...Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death."
However, the Scripture specifically states that the way we live our lives is how people will come to Christ primarily:
1 Peter 2:12 "Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation."
1 Peter 3:1 "Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives."
Jesus also stated the following concerning those who seek signs:
Matthew 16:4 "A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed."
Should Believers expect to see genuine miracles and healings and signs and wonders? Absolutely; I do on a regular basis and am excited whenever I see God moving in supernatural Power.
Lost people don't need tricks and gimmicks anymore; they need to see that we as Believers have more than "miracle ministries". They need to see how we treat our wives and husbands and children; they need to see that we pray with our families on a regular basis and serve God as much in private as we claim to serve Him in public.
The greatest miracles are not people jumping out of wheelchairs and blind eyes being opened...the greatest miracles are transformed marriages, healed relationships, liars turning to truth and wicked men becoming Holy by the Grace of God.
