Hi everyone,
Today is Thanksgiving in Canada. I know that in the U.S. and likely some other places, it comes a few weeks from now.
I want to take the opportunity to 'give thanks' for the wonderful wife and kids God has blessed me with, and for my saviour Jesus, who in recent weeks has shown his love and protection to me in some new ways ! And of course, he has given me his salvation, without which I would be hopelessly lost. Yesterday, we were visiting with some friends and attended a church service together with them. They sang a song in the service which is without doubt one of my favourites. I'm not sure what the name of the song is, but my favourite part of the song is when it says,"If ever I loved thee, my Jesus tis now."
If you could pray for me about my TMJ problem, that would be much appreciated. Please pray for me as I am seeing a new dentist this week, and I am hopeful that his treatment will be helpful to me. However, please also pray that my hope will be in God and not in man, and that whether I or not I experience relief from my pain, God will use this experience to conform me more into his image.
In Jesus, John

Happy Thanksgiving, brother!
I actually missed Thanksgiving last year because I was in America during the Canadian holiday, and I was in Canada during the American holiday! But it's not that I didn't have opportunity to be thankful... I thank God for His unfailing mercies that are new every morning. If it were not so, I would most definitely be consumed. I thank God for loving me and sending His Son to die for me so that I might have life. Praise you, Jesus!
Thank you, John, for this reminder. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Love in Christ, -Eli
