Friends, Nathan Miller just called me from McKay-Dee hospital. He is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning. The severe nausea and headaches of the past days aparently were caused by some malfunction of the shunt in his skull. The surgeon will replace the shunt. Nathan said that the operation is routine for the neurosurgeon. The shunt is necessary to relieve fluid pressure on his brain. I prayed with him for wisdom for the doctor, peace of heart for him, and opportunity for him to witness to the staff. He seemed calm. Pray for him. In our faithful Lord Jesus Christ, Brad

Brother Alan,
I have been praying for Nathan as well. May God grant him peace and help, in this time of trial.

Brad spoke to Nathan yesterday morning and he was a little groggy but was apparently doing better. Brad prayed with him and encouraged him in the Lord. He is supposed to be released Friday.

I found out this evening that Nathan will need another surgery tomorrow to adjust the tube that runs from the shunt in his brain to his abdomen. Please pray for Nathan and the doctors.
