Dear Saints, Recently, I was in a men's Sunday school class where each of us was asked to share about a person who had an positive, spiritual impact upon us, as a man. I talked about my youth pastor. On his final Sunday at our church, he preached a sermon which was simple, yet profound. It was about how the Moon sets an example for us to follow, in that the main job of the Moon is to reflect light from the Sun. In thinking more about this concept, the following words came to me last night in the wee hours of the morning, when I couldn't sleep May the Lord receive the praise due His name ! The ambition of the Moon ------------------------------- May I desire smallness, rather than greatness, content to sit at the feet of the Master, who is all and above all. May I pursue His will and not my own, unfolded in his time, rather than mine. May my passions be swallowed up His, guided by his manifold master plan. May my life's orbit be like the moon's, circling the globe with one solitary purpose, of reflecting light from the Son. 2 Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit " Love to all who love his appearing ! In Jesus, John
