No I have not read either of them... If they are as good as a tale of three kings was I need to read them.... The truth is that God convicted me on how much time I was spending reading other books and not spending time in the word... So maybe in the future I will get a chance to read other stuff again....
Your brother in Christ, Jim

Absolute Surrender - Andrew Murray
Praying Hyde - EG Carre
J Hudson Taylor, A Man in Christ - Roger Steer
Have to say my efforts has been largely in books and in reading more books, but the BIBLE must become the book I read now. Lives do depend on it.

Well, this thread hasn't been posted on in over a year, but let me share some of my top choices:
1. Pilgrim's Progress 2. The sermons of Jonathan Edwards (and other works by him) 3. The sermons of Charles Spurgeon (volumes 1-10) 4. The Diary of David Brainerd 5. Missionary biographies
-umm... sorry I couldn't narrow it down! There are many others that have edified me much as well...

I didn't read the whole book, but what I read was very encouraging. My parents recently read it and were blessed. Let me recommend to you a book on the baptism of the Holy Spirit by Martyn Lloyd-Jones called, "Joy Unspeakable". Lloyd-Jones was a rock solid Biblical preacher who believed in the filling and gifts of the Holy Spirit today. I think you would be greatly edified by it.
